Features

Ruby red color, spicy aroma, good intensity on the nose, strong, pleasant character, excellent body, elegant wine.

Vines

70% Sangiovese, 20% Teroldego, 10% Merlot

Vinification and aging

The grapes are de-stemmed to whole berries. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a temperature of about 20-25 CCin tanks of 80 Ql for a duration of 15-20 days.

Then follows the racking and malolactic fermentation at a temperature of 20-22 C in 3 hl barriques..

After 12 months the wine is then bottled where it remains to refine for another 4 months before being marketed.

Production area

The production area includes the hilly lands between 250 and 600 meters above sea level of Montepulciano in the province of Siena.
